DQ Global’s Martin Doyle has just returned from a pie-and-mash networking event held for occupiers at Fareham Innovation Centre.
“It’s these kinds of events that the centre does very well,” said the founder of the software company which specialises in advanced customer data quality and cleansing solutions.
Food for thought too – DQ Global, now part of Aries Global, is among the ‘Super Six’ companies which moved into the purpose-built centre within the first year.
The others are Chemical Design, Eldo Web Design, Flylogix, Lumico Digital and 3-Sci.
“We’re in good company,” remarked Martin, who launched DQ Global in 1995 with bespoke technology that streamlines CRM systems for companies and organisations; data quality unlocks the full customer story, from complete buying journeys to accurate insights.
“Demand continued to grow for our data quality solutions and, having been in an office where the lease was about to expire, we decided to relocate back in 2015 – Fareham Innovation Centre was the perfect spot and a convenient drive from the family house.
“We started off with a four-person desk and, thanks to the flexibility of serviced office provision here, scaled up to a 12-desk office to match the number of staff.
“Fareham Innovation Centre has a nice vibe. The centre’s team support occupiers well and it’s a great place to work.”
One of the key attractions for occupiers is complimentary access to the centre’s in-house Innovation Director, a core aspect of on-site business support.
Global technology
“Over the years the Innovation Director has been a useful sound board for us, a chance to bounce around strategic ideas.
“Away from DQ Global, the business support service has helped a lot of start-ups here, everything from correctly sorting out Articles of Association [written rules about running a company and agreed by shareholders] to basic sums like breakeven costs, mark-up versus margin and the bottom-line impact of discounts.”
Talking of business, DQ Global has, as always, much to do as software technology evolves at a rapid pace.
“At a time when enterprises are increasingly looking to harness AI at scale, data quality has become the critical enabler of reliable, enterprise-ready workflows,” Martin said.
“DQ Global’s flagship suite, DQ for Dynamics, along with its low-code platform DQ Studio, and a portfolio of data validation and archiving tools, is trusted by enterprises across industries to detect, correct and prevent data defects at scale.
“Deeply integrated into Microsoft Dynamics 365, these solutions transform duplicate-heavy, inconsistent records into unified Golden Records, giving organisations the trusted customer data required for compliance, analytics and AI-driven decisions.”
For Martin, the past 10 years at Fareham Innovation Centre have been good ones.
But it is bitter-sweet – Martin, a highly-respected figure at the centre, will be retiring as part of the Aries Global transaction, having built DQ Global into a leader in data quality solutions, with clients such as Yamaha, the NHS and Savills. Martin’s son is set to take over as CEO of DQ Global, marking the next chapter in the company’s leadership.
A chance for more pies and mash, but without the pressure of returning to the desk.
