We spoke to Wesley Brown from Freshly Fermented, about what Freshly Fermented are working on now, the future ambitions for their company and what they like most about being based at Fareham IC!
1.How did you start your company?
2.What are you working on at the moment?
We are currently busy working on a new range of freeze-dried products that we hope to roll out to organic, vegan and zero waste shops this year. We aim to break out of the E-commerce B2C world and into both B2B and retail shops.
3.What do you like about Fareham Innovation Centre?
The innovation centre has been a crucial part of the growth of the business. It’s great that everything is included in the price. For a startup company, it simplified things and allowed us to just focus on what we are doing. The staff are really helpful and it’s great to be based alongside some other really forward-thinking businesses as neighbours. We feel part of a growing community and everyone is always impressed with the look of the building.
4.What projects/ambitions do you have for the future of your company?
We have just expanded and taken on a new unit at the centre. We aim to continue to grow and fill that unit with staff over the next 6 months. We are merging with two other companies in the same remit to bring further product lines to our range.
