Fareham Borough Council has created a video to showcase some significant developments at Daedalus and to celebrate over 10 years of investment and innovation on the site.
Recently Eaton, an intelligent power management company and global aircraft components leader, relocated its headquarters to Faraday Business Park. Its custom-built 176,00 SQFT facility represents one of the largest investments in the fuel services business.
Faraday business park offers Eaton a premier location within one of the UK’s largest innovation and advanced manufacturing zones. Its outstanding design standards and infrastructure provides Eaton with everything needed for current operations and long-term growth.
Proximity to CEMAST and Fareham Innovation Centre, both located on-site at Daedalus, provide a strong pipeline of next-generation aerospace talent.
Oxford Innovation Space, the organisation that has successfully managed Fareham Innovation Centre for 10 years, has also been awarded a new contract with the Council. Under its guidance, the Innovation Centre has supported 188 businesses and contributed to the creation of 1,065 jobs since opening. The new contract continues the centre’s success and maintains its reputation as a hub of enterprise.

Other developments at Faraday Business Park include a world class, dedicated Seach and Rescue (SAR) training facility for Bristow Helicopters which is nearing completion. This new facility will enable the organisation to deliver consistency and excellence in training for SAR crews from both overseas and here in the UK and more details will follow soon.
We’re here to help our local businesses
Fareham Innovation Centre supports our local businesses growth whilst strengthening the wider Daedalus economic area. The centre offers office and workshop space, co-working, virtual agreements, free training and networking events, an in-house Innovation Director and much more. One of the centre’s features is The Bridge, a conferencing suite seating up to 120 people. Fareham Borough Council also chose this location to film its video, using The Bridge and its private terrace overlooking Daedalus.
At Fareham Innovation Centre we are very proud to be part of the Solent Enterprise Zone at Daedalus.
We’ve been situated here for over 10 years and it’s been fantastic to see how the area has developed and how the businesses in our centre, as well as the many other brilliant businesses and colleges in the zone, have been championing innovation.
